Black silk velvet Vicky Tiel cocktail dress with gold lamé inset bustier detail, circa early 1980s vintage.
Sweetheart neckline, padded shoulders, tapered full length sleeves.
Fitted through the waist and upper hips, the slightly dropped waistline is asymmetrical, the front skirt has an overlap detail, as shown.
Hidden zip up the back center with interior waist corset style panels.
This wide panel closes with three hook and eye closures, thereby reinforcing the boning along the back sides and entire front.
The body is fully lined in black silk, with every seam covered, the sleeves are unlined.
Beautifully designed and constructed, the lining and structure are hand finished.

This stunner of a cocktail/ semi formal dress is in excellent condition, appears very seldom worn and has been wonderfully kept.
