vintage 1980s black leather Bottega Veneta bucket bag drawstring shoulder purse
Authentic vintage Bottega Veneta smooth leather drawstring shoulder bag / bucket purse, circa 1980s vintage.
Two leather drawcords intersect inside of the gathered top edge and form the shoulder straps; also securing the top edge of the bag.
Ovular bottom panel.
The smooth leather has a slight natural texture to it - very soft and supple.
The interior is lined in beige pigskin suede, with zippered pocket on the inner wall.
Magnetic snap closure is hidden on the inner top wall.
"BOTTEGA VENETA, made in Italy" engraved plaque is on the interior.
Condition:
The exterior looks very good- a couple of very minor scuffs, but no holes, tears, major scuffs, scrapes or damage.
The interior has some darkening and discoloration from use; there are some pen marks on the inner bottom.
The strap ends are knotted together in pairs, then all four ends together. This could be refigured for a slightly longer strap length- though the strap length is most easily adjusted by the level of cinching along the top of the bag.
A classic and beautifully made designer bag- ready for many years of enjoyment!

9.5" across the top edge openings (where the drawstrings thread through)
12.25" across the top edge of the bag measured just below the cinchable area
10.5" height
the bottom oval panel is 7.5" wide, 5" deep
the strap is quite adjustable based on knotting and cinching- it currently measures between 18" to 32" in length (9" to 16" drop) but can be adjusted
