Hand beaded black and deep gem tone Walborg handbag with foldaway strap option, circa 1950s - 1960s vintage. Beaded flip- top metal closure, hinged frame. Mostly black and gold, with deep red, green, and gunmetal gray beading- tons of sparkle! Large scale classical paisley design. Soft sided. The short drop length strap is beaded in a petal spiral design in the same colourway. Clever hinges at the top inner corners allow the strap to fold inside for optional use as a clutch. Fully lined in black satin with a small slash pocket on the inner back wall, Aalborg label as shown. In excellent- if not flawless- condition, not a bead missing or out of place. A stunner!
