vintage blue saddle leather tote bag Lee Stemer for Ronay handbag purse 1970s
Navy blue leather tote bag by Lee Stemer for Ronay, circa 1970s vintage. Thick saddle leather, solidly stitched detailing and bottom.
Open top with optional heavy metal dog leash clip and corresponding metal O ring. Interior zip pocket on back wall. Four large metal stud feet protect the bottom.
Soft sided, rigid panel bottom. Unlined/ suede interior. Leather is soft, thick, and quite supple, showing wear, creasing, etc. but incredibly solid and well made. A deceptively simple design- double ply leather straps are the perfect length on the shoulder. Every stitch in place. A bit of fading/ loss to the metal finish on all hardware, which only adds to the charm of this gently broken- in gem. Super clean inside and out- ready for several more decades of use!
Measurements:

10.75" high
5" deep (at bottom)
straps are 17.5" in length or 8.75" drop from shoulder (comfortable on a small to mid sized frame)
